Technology and law – Rolf Klemm combines sound technical and legal expertise in his advisory work. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, focusing on production engineering and automation technology. In addition, he studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and in Regensburg up to the First State Examination.

Before entering the field of intellectual property, Mr Klemm worked as a design engineer in special-purpose mechanical engineering. This practical industrial experience continues to shape his technically grounded and solution-oriented advice.

Mr Klemm has been admitted as a German Patent Attorney since 2004 and as a European Patent Attorney since 2008. He has many years of experience in building and managing international patent portfolios, in particular for companies in the automotive industry, both OEMs and suppliers. Drawing on his long-standing work with start-ups and medium-sized companies, Rolf Klemm develops efficient and cost-conscious filing strategies that provide young technology companies with a practical entry point for protecting their innovations. Since 2007, he has run his own patent law firm, advising national and international clients.

In 2025, Mr Klemm completed an additional qualification in conducting patent litigation before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and gained initial experience in enforcement proceedings before the Paris Local Division. He regularly supports clients in inter partes proceedings, both nationally and internationally.
