Career & Expertise

Christoph advises and represents clients on patents and other intellectual property rights across information and communication technologies (ICT), electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering, with a focus on patent litigation and patent prosecution.

With a degree in electrical engineering, Christoph has deep technical experience in artificial intelligence (computer vision and natural language processing), signal processing, and battery technology. He has drafted and prosecuted AI-related patents—primarily computer-vision inventions—for organizations such as the University of Cambridge, University College London (UCL), ETH Zurich, INRIA, the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and the Max Planck Society. He also publishes research in NLP (see his papers).

Christoph’s litigation experience spans both standard-essential patent (SEP) and non-SEP matters, including work on Huawei v. Unwired Planet; Microsoft v. SIA; Acer v. Qimonda; Wiko/Google/ASUS/HTC v. Philips; and Nipro v. Fresenius.
